Tweet, twitter, Tweeter – Earn while you tweet! Part 1

Posted by: Subrato Paul on: October 14, 2009

You enjoy tweeting, and having a huge following on twitter! Why not make a little extra cash at the same time? Earn while you Tweet! There are plenty of ways to earn money on the popular micro-blogging platform twitter. Twivert, an ad network built for twitter, is one of them.

Twivert offers a monetizing opportunity for quality twitter users.
Sign up today and enjoy $5 as signup bonus.

How twivert works?

Twivert refers to twitter users as twitterers. You may sign up for a new twivert account as an advertiser or as a twitterer.

Twivert for twitterers

You are provided with ‘value ads’ that you can start displaying through twitter. For every CPF (Cost per follower) ad tweet being published, your account will be credited with cash depending on your follower count. So more the followers more you can earn. Twivert also offers CPC (Cost per click) ads where they provide you with a link and for every genuine click on the link you get paid.

Auto tweeting is a feature where appropriate ad tweets are automatically posted at certain intervals of time on your behalf into your timeline.

On the other hand you may choose to disable auto-tweeting, in which case you’ll have the control of reviewing and posting ads that are appropriate to you.

You control the number of tweets being published, and the maximum number of ads posted per day depends on number of followers you have. This prevents the user’s timeline from being flooded with ads.

You select the time slots when you want the ads to be displayed.

You can track your earnings and tweets. Once you earn $30 you can request a payout by PayPal!

If you don’t have an account, sign up for your FREE PayPal Account

How to promote twivert?

If you feel that service provided by twivert will be useful to some of the people you know, you may invite them to twivert website, the people you invite are your referrals. Promotional tweets are sent to your followers from your account inviting them to join twivert. You can disable/enable promotional tweets.

Note:
The tweets sent for referrals scheme do not count for impressions. Instead you are paid when your referral is successful.

Amount earned for successful referrals

For referring Advertisers:
Your account will be credited with $5 when the advertiser signs up and spends the first $30.

For referring Twitterers:
Your account will be credited with $5 when the twitterer pays out the first $30 that he has earnt.

Twivert for advertisers

Advertise your services on twitter through Twivert and reach millions of twitter users. Start your CPC campaigns today for as low as 5 cents per click, and get 25% cash back. Advertisers have the flexibility of targeting their ads at specific countries.

Conclusion

On the whole, using twivert advertisers can start up CPC campaigns while twitterers can display ads as part of their updates. Don’t expect to get rich quick. There are many such websites that will pay you for your tweets. If you join all of them, you are going to dilute your chances, and your own promotions may suffer. But by joining one or two, there is a sense of belonging to whatever is happening on twitter.

Note:
This article will continue with more earning opportunities on twitter. Twivert is not affiliated with twitter.

Email Deliverability Tips

Posted by: Subrato Paul on: October 12, 2009

Ensuring requested opt-in email is delivered to subscriber inboxes is an increasingly difficult battle in the age of spam filtering. Open and click thru response rates can be dramatically affected by as much as 20-30% due to incorrect spam filter classification.

Permission

Confirming that the people who ask for your information have actually requested to be on your list is the number one step in the battle for deliverability. You should be using a process called confirmed opt-in or verified opt-in to send a unique link to the attempted subscriber when they request information. Before adding the person to your list they must click that unique link verifying that they are indeed the same person that owns the email address and requested to subscribe.

Subscriber Addresses

When requesting website visitors to opt-in ask for their “real” or “primary” email address instead of a free email address like Yahoo or Hotmail. Free emails tend to be throw away accounts and typically have a shorter lifetime than a primary ISP address.

List Maintenance

Always promptly remove undeliverable addresses that bounce when sending email to them. An address that bounces with a permanent error 2-3 times in a 30 day period should be removed from the list. ISP’s track what percentage of your newsletters bounce and will block them if you attempt to continually deliver messages to closed subscriber mailboxes.

Message Format

Usage of HTML messages to allow for text formatting, multiple columns, images, and brand recognition is growing in popularity and is widely supported by most email client software. Most spam is also HTML formatted and thus differentiating between requested email and spam HTML messages can be difficult. A 2004 study by AWeber .com shows that plain text messages are undeliverable 1.15% of the time and HTML only messages were undeliverable 2.3%. If sending HTML it is important to always send a plain text alternative message, also called text/HTML multi-part mime format.

Content

Many ISP’s filter based on the content that appears within the message text.

    Website URL:

Research potential newsletter advertisers before allowing them to place ads in your newsletter issues. If they have used their website URL to send spam, just having their URL appear in your newsletter could cause the entire message to be filtered.

    Words/phrases:

Choose your language carefully when crafting messages. Avoid hot button topics often found in spam such as medication, mortgages, making money, and pornography. If you do need to use words that might be filtered, don’t attempt to obfuscate words with extra characters or odd spelling, you’ll just make your messages appear more spam like.

    Images:

Avoid creating messages that are entirely images. Use images sparingly, if at all. Commonly used open rate tracking technology uses images to calculate opens. You may choose to disable open rate tracking to avoid being filtered based on image content.

    Attachments:

With viruses running rampant and spreading thru the usage of malicious email attachments many users are wary of attached documents. It’s often better to link to files via a website URL to reduce recipient fear of attachments and reduce the overall message size.

CAN-SPAM Compliance

The January 2004 Federal CAN-SPAM law introduced a number of rules regarding the delivery of email. It’s important you have your legal counsel review your practices and ensure you are in compliance. The two most important rules include having a valid postal mail address listed in all commercial messages and a working unsubscribe link that is promptly honored to remove the subscriber from future messages.

Reputation

Reputation services are often used by large ISP’s as a way to vet email senders regarding their email practices and policies. Businesses listed with these services are then given less stringent filtering or no filtering at all. Several reputation services are:

Relationships & Whitelisting

Contact with major ISP’s and email providers is essential in letting them know about your requested subscriber email. Many large providers such as AOL and Yahoo have specific whitelisting programs and postmaster website areas to ensure your email is delivered as long as you meet their policies and procedures in handling your opt-in list.

Email deliverability is about ensuring requested opt-in email is delivered to the intended recipient. While no single tip will enable you to get 100% of your email delivered each one utilized as a group can go a long way to reaching that goal.

Tweet, twitter, Tweeter – An Introduction

Posted by: Subrato Paul on: October 11, 2009

What prompted me to introduce a new category – Tweet, twitter, Tweeter under the parent category Social Networking?

You are already addicted to telling the world what you’re up to in 140 characters or less for long on popular micro-blogging platform twitter, or rather a late comer like me who recently gotten into, and a bit confused in the beginning. And behold, there would be newbie’s in tons every passing day. The idea is to feed the newcomers with palatable tips and tricks about the benefits of social networking and bookmarking, introduce them to everyday jargon tossed around in different tweets or blog posts, offer them an earning opportunity as quality tweeters.

Veteran tweeters could share their expertise by feeding a few comments kept secret up their sleeves. Newbie’s could learn and get rid of their apprehensions, if any. Win and win for one and all!

First let me define these three beautiful words, and many more closely associated with them, for those who are not yet familiar.

A tweet is a post or status update on twitter, a popular micro-blogging platform. The act of sending a tweet is referred to as tweeting. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length displayed on the author’s profile page and delivered to the author’s subscribers who are known as followers. Twitter followers who are your friends on multiple social networks are referred to as tweeps. A retweet is a repeated tweet. It is sometimes used in a reply to allow everyone to see the original tweet. It is also used to forward a message onto one’s own followers.

Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets. Twitter is often referred to as a micro-blog because it allows people to update their status using only 140 characters.

Tweeter is a person who tweets. Twitter users are referred to as tweeples.

As a closing remark, I would say twitter is many different things to many different people. Don’t expect dramatic messages all the time. It can be used by family and close friends for social messaging like your whereabouts and your engagements throughout the day. It’s a business coordinator for a company. It’s a business tool and a marketing utility for many to influence their followers. Media may use it to keep people informed.  A celebrity builds up a fan base. Politicians who are elected or aspiring to become elected use it to broadcast their views and increase their support base. Opinion makers make impact on their followers. In short, communicate and stay connected! At the end, it is nice to be followed by hundreds of people from all walks of life and all over the world, who is interested in what you think and say, or rather tweet. So, keep tweeting!

Affiliate Marketing – Getting Traffic for Free

Posted by: Subrato Paul on: October 10, 2009

Thousands of people do this because they can start making money almost immediately without the expense and time needed to produce a product themselves. Having a website is not necessary and there is no interaction with your potential customers beyond getting them to the sales page.

Getting involved in affiliate marketing is a great opportunity to make a lot of money on the Internet, but one should not go into it blindly. As an affiliate you must invest some time in research, this is absolutely necessary. Know what products you want to promote, how much you will make on each sale and the return rate of the product. If possible it’s a good idea to buy or request a sample so you know the product inside and out.

Affiliate Marketing and Home Based Income Opportunities

As a first time affiliate it’s a good idea to start with reasonably priced products making at least 50% commission. The most critical part of affiliate marketing is of course marketing. The issue of traffic is one of the most central and fundamental issues in making any money online. You can separate your marketing campaign into two distinct groups, paid and non-paid. Free marketing can be quite effective if you know how it’s done. Here is a list of the most popular methods for getting traffic for free.

Article marketing: A great way to increase your ranking with search engines and direct targeted traffic to your sites. You should write about what you know. If you do not have more information on your topic than does the average reader you should probably choose another topic. Write your article in a conversational tone so that it’s easy to read. Don’t make your article too long, remember it’s an article you’re writing not a book. A length of 450-750 words should be ideal. Your article should be informative and about your website topic. If its just useless information your readers will expect the same from your website.

Blogging: Writing a blog is also a good way to drive traffic to your site and increase your search engine rankings. Blogs were originally used as online diaries but have recently taken on a business dimension. Your blog should be focused on your particular niche. You should have several blogs with different providers and include your links in your blogs and profile. This is a good technique for increasing traffic and search engine rankings.

Forums: Participating in forum discussions is another great way to meet people and get your URL out there on every post you make. You should join forums related to the niche you are targeting or the product you are selling. When you sign up for a forum you have the option of adding a “signature”. This signature will show up at the bottom of every post you make in the forum and should be used to promote your website links and products. Whenever you make posts you will then be creating links back to your site, while attracting the attention of the forum readers.

Social Bookmarking: This is a valuable and reliable way to get traffic and back links to your site. There are many social bookmarking sites such as Furl and del.icio.us. These sites allow you to share your bookmarks along with a description with the public hence the term social bookmarking. The main purpose is to put your links in front of people who would hopefully also bookmark your site giving you more back links.

MySpace: MySpace is one of the largest online communities with over 100 million members. It is a great place for networking with other people who hold the same interests and marketing. Another great benefit of MySpace is that it has dozens of different forums and groups related to specific niches. Be sparing with your use of music bites, videos and other media clips, you should create an attractive profile that is easy to load. Forget the animation and other bells and whistles, make it easy to navigate your profile and organize your information logically. Colour schemes are important, use colours that enhance the look of your text and images not draw attention away from them. You should also use a recent photo as you are now. For help on designing a MySpace profile consult the tutorials on the site.
